About the Race
The Xanctsu Quest has been one of the top dogsled races over nearly a century. The race runs from the northeast point of the island (beginning at the town of Kaono) and finds its half-way point on the southwestern most point of the island, where the teams are given their second-half-of-the-race rations, then continue through a different route to return to Kaono. Because Xanctsu Island is so diverse, it always seems as though the course keeps changing, so it is difficult for even the most experienced teams.

Prizes
1st Place: Not only does the winner earn the recognition of the dogsledding world, but they also win a trophy, free dogsled gear, a year worth of dog food, and a cash prize.

2nd Place: They will walk away with free dogsled gear, a year worth of dog food, and a cash prize.

3rd Place: They will go home with a gift certificate for dogsled gear and dog food.

Shopping
You're out of luck if you're looking for a well known store to buy your clothes at. There are a series of small shops up and down the main strip, a select few being clothing boutiques, and others including a baker, a grocery store, a pet supply shop, and a hunting supply store. For a better selection, one would have to travel to the mainland (a ferry comes once a week).
